Let's get ready for your health screening!
How to Prepare
- Fast for 12 hours No eating or drinking prior to your exam**. Water is encouraged and black coffee without cream or sweeteners is okay.
- Drink water regularly Do not overhydrate or underhydrate and drink one 8oz glass of water one hour before your exam.
- Take your medications Continue taking medicine as prescribed
- Bring your photo ID You will need to present it to the health screener
Leading Up to Your Screening
- 1 hour before exam: Do not smoke or chew tobacco
- 24 hours before exam: Avoid Alcohol, limit salt and cholesterol intake
- 24 hours before exam: Limit strenuous physical activity
** Please note: If you are diabetic or hypoglycemic, please follow your doctor’s instructions regarding fasting.
